Book Cover for the Barbara Leigh Trilogy

Mother Nature had mercy on me! Finally a day without rain and storms. I actually LOVE those stormy kind of days but not when I am trying to shoot a cover. I was finally able to shoot my book cover in the backyard on Sunday. It was hotter than Haris Alexiou out there but we got some great shots. Michela portrayed a young Barbara Leigh for the first book in the Trilogy, No Place to Call Home, and she was perfect! Her expressions were spot on. I told her we were going to play pretend, and I needed her to show me what type of expression she would have if one of her friends lost their parents and they had to go far away and live in an orphanage. She nailed it!

I am very happy with the cover. We are just days away from sending the first volume for copyright. It's been a long journey especially with Barbara and I being in different countries and the time difference. Plus we did clash ( okay we down right fought lol ) a few times on several aspects of the book. Some creative differences. But we got through and we are both very pleased with it.
